Driving distance
The average length of a player's measured drives in a tournament, in yards.
Tours measure two drives a round on holes chosen to run in opposite directions, so wind roughly cancels out. Distance has grown steadily on the PGA Tour this century and is the stat most tied to equipment.
BirdieAPI serves it from ESPN's tournament stat line for PGA Tour events from 2011, for players who made the cut.
